Come and discover our solid hand and body soaps. Made in a small French soap factory, our soaps are made in the traditional way, using a saponification process. Saponification is a natural chemical reaction that takes place during the soap making process. To do this, a vegetable oil (or several) is mixed with an alkaline base (in this case, soda). The saponification reaction will form a paste that will be used to make La Belle Mèche solid scented soap.

Naturally rich in sunflower, olive and coconut oils, our soaps are composed of 97% natural ingredients. This means that you can clean without damaging the skin on your hands or body. In fact, each bar of La Belle Mèche soap is enriched with shea butter, to nourish your skin, as well as perfume it. A real olfactory pleasure! Thanks to this vegetable base, made from natural ingredients, we obtain a soft, nourishing, cleansing, foaming soap, gentle on the skin, that you will enjoy using in the shower.

And for scented showers that don't dirty your skin or the planet, our formulation is guaranteed to be paraben-free and palm oil-free. We also package our scented soaps in paper to encourage zero plastic waste.
